In depth

Verdict

A very modest contest where it can safely be assumed that the turnover on the race will fall short of any record you care to mention. However, Kitimat has at least won a race in recent memory and will not need to pull out all the stops to post a repeat performance. Sounds Cool returns to a more realistic level than he has been contesting of late and is easily the one that stands out as the biggest threat to the selection. Whereas the first-time headgear will have to work wonders for Rolex Free if he is to catch the eye today. Scurry Dancer, in turn, is likely to find at least one too good at the weights and, as he receives plenty from the top two on the racecard, Kitimat makes the most appeal in a race that will not live too long in the memory.
