Imperial de Thaix,Existential, and Samuel Wilderspin are three against the field in a wide open affair and the vote goes to Existential. The nine-year-old was a fair third behind Jacdor last time and with the step up in trip sure to suit he will be hard to beat. Imperial de Thaix rates the main danger he disappointed in a class B handicap at Cheltenham last time but prior to that he had been a fair second behind Lord Noelie, but this looks more his grade and he will not be far away. Samuel Wilderspin is also worthy of respect as he has dropped to a fair mark but he has a tendency to break blood vessels and for that reason is opposed. Another General is from a yard that is just coming out of a quiet time and it would be no surprise to see him bounce back to form but for the winner we return to Existential.
