    Verdict

Pougatcheva, Little Bud, Dd's Glenalla and Rare Quality look to be the main protagonists in this handicap hurdle and the tentative vote is given to Pougatcheva. The selection was just run out of the places behind Rakassa at Kempton last time but a reproduction of that effort should suffice here. Little Bud rates the main danger as this mare from the Anna Newton-Smith yard goes especially well on this track and is a course and distance winner. She has been a bit disappointing of late but she would not be far away if she can get anywhere near the pick of her form. Dd's Glenalla did not appreciate the heavy ground when well beaten last time behind Our Dream but that was a good race and this looks much easier so she looks to have decent place prospects. Rare Quality is from a yard in form but will need to improve to trouble the principles, so we return to Pougatcheva as the one they all have to beat.
