Verdict

John Monash and Gold Chain were engaged here yesterday and the former's stablemate LAKE MALAWI should take advantage if they fail to make a quick reappearance. Gordon Elliott's charge is on an upward curve and battled on strongly to get off the mark in a Downpatrick maiden last time. One For Hocky stays further and has had a break but would enter calculations if the rains arrive - he also holds Always Tipsy and Tantamount on the form book. Waltz Darling is fit from the Flat but last ran over hurdles in March of last year.
