In depth

Verdict

Le Grand Chene had proved consistent prior to his latest run at Downpatrick but is 9lb higher than when beaten a neck on his last visit here almost a year ago. Royal Macnab is back on a winning mark and finished ahead of Our Cat at Market Rasen last time, reversing earlier form at that track with Fergal O'Brien's front-runner. Dr Moloney remains winless over the larger obstacles but GLEANN NA NDOCHAIS is a four-time winner over fences, including twice over this course and distance. A recent third suggests he's back on a decent mark having been dropped a pound since.
