Hattington can beat Rebelle and Fourth Dimension, with Cill Uird and Native Guide best of the rest. Once again there is a strong Irish presence here, with five of the 10 runners hailing from the emerald isle, but we fancy the home contingent to come out on top courtesy of Hattington. The seven-year-old was successful on his first start for Milton Harris at Towcester in March, having previously been beaten in a seller for Nicky Richards at Hereford. He has since run well in defeat in fair handicap company, including at Aintree two weeks ago, and back amongst the novices, will surely make his presence felt. Rebelle turns out quickly after getting rid of his pilot at Newton Abbot nine days ago, and although beaten at the time, he is worth a second glance with Tony McCoy in the plate. The fact that Dandy Nicholls even had a runner over hurdles should have alerted us to the chance of Fourth Dimension on his Hexham debut, and despite a penalty, he should go close if in the same mood. Of the rest, Cill Uird should be noted if the market suggests that he is best of the Irish runners, and Native Guide was runner-up in a point-to-point in April. None of them can boast the same level of form as Hattington though, and he should be the one to be on.
