Glinger can make fitness tell over stablemate Emperor Ross, with Green Go and Mazileo another pair of dangers in the day's feature race at the Scottish track. Nicky Richards has two bites at the cherry here but Emperor Ross does have a 332-day absence to overcome, having flopped badly over timber at Market Rasen last August. He has been hard to keep sound in the past but has won twice over fences here in the past and should be noted whatever he achieves today. On this occasion it may pay to stick with his older stablemate Glinger who loves it round here, his last two wins coming at the track. He made all last time and showed no signs of stopping, so should have no problems staying the extra distance today. In addition he has only gone up a few pounds and so has leading claims. Green Go failed to see out the trip at Cartmel last time and so should be more at home over this slightly shorter trip, while Mazileo has a chance on his emphatic success over Monks Error at Hereford. With course form in his favour, Glinger is the one to be on.
