Perth is a course that has served Tom George well on his raids to Sconce Palace Park and he can again make the journey worthwhile with the unexposed Don Valentino. Top weight Possextown, along with Oliverjohn and Plenty Courage are expected to put up the most resistance. Plenty Courage is in good form at present and acts well at this track. However, he is basically plating class and needs to find a little more to figure in this company. Oliverjohn has to rate as a live danger now that he has been given a chance by the handicapper. Still, he may be better with more give underfoot and needs everything to drop just right. Possextown is open to stacks of improvement and can be placed to good effect by his shrewd trainer. his ex-Irish pointer shapes as if he has a bright future and is one to seriously bear in mind if he is strongly backed. However, Don Valentino has the edge in terms of experience at this stage and this improving individual has very little to find to get his season off to a flyer today.
