NIGWELL FORBEES is a hopeful selection in a contest where Lodgician and Hawkwell should rate highly. The selection missed the whole of 2007 and 2008 and has been well held on each of his two starts back for his current connections. A huge amount has to be taken on trust but he has been given a real chance by the handicapper and the jockey booking is an eyecatching one so market support would make him of interest. If there's no confidence behind his chance then it's probably best to look to those with more obvious claims. Lodgician is relatively unexposed over hurdles after just nine starts and has already won a race although he's not certain to last home. Polly Whitefoot is another whose stamina ebbs away in the closing stages of this trip but Hawkwell should have no such problems and should be a player. Kizzy O is worth noting whilst Doris's Gift and Ballynure are not dismissed but a speculative chance is taken with Nigwell Forbees.
