Universal Folly finished second over 2m4f here on Wednesday in a race in which Captain Quint started favourite but unseated his rider on the first circuit. The latter is one of three entries from Rose Dobbin’s yard with Newcastle winner Here Comes The Man possibly the pick of the trio. Kakamora returned from a short break to score at Huntingdon but Readysteadybeau fell when favourite for a match at Ayr last month having won earlier at the same track. EVERYDAY CHAMPAGNE just came up short at Carlisle last time, despite finding the trip insufficient. A winner over 3m at Doncaster earlier, he has conditions in his favour today and is still on a fair mark. Bridge North has only gone up 3lb for winning at Newbury so can’t be ruled out.
Bridge North (IRE) 6-4 (11-3) Tracked leader, pushed along before 5 out, not fluent 2 out, switched right between last two, rallied and upsides last, led run-in, stayed on well, won at Newbury 2m 7f hcp (3) sft in Mar beating Manothepeople (11-9) by 5 1/2l, 3 ran.
Captain Quint (IRE) 11-4fav (11-8) Tracked leaders, blundered and unseated rider 5th, at Perth 2m 4f hcp (3) gs in Apr.

Wild Polly (IRE) 14-1 (10-12) Chased leaders, lost place before 4th, looked to be struggling when hit 10th, soon pulled up, at Carlisle 2m 4f hcp (4) gs in Apr.
