In depth

Verdict

Plenty with chances in a decent renewal of this marathon. Rath An Iuir was pulled up last year so Gentleman De Mai might prove the pick of Rose Dobbin’s two runners, even though beaten by Silver In Disguise at Wetherby earlier this month. Innisfree Lad stays well but is the senior runner in this while Court Master is likely to need the run. Return Fire runs in this rather than the 3.15 but Destiny Is All looks the stable selection having found only one too good over 3m5f at Warwick last month. Geryville has crept up the weights without winning while the trip an unknown for course winner If Not For Dylan and all of Fairlawn Flyer’s chase wins have come at Ffos Las, though he has won here over hurdles. Planned Paradise has a chance on his second at Sandown in December but CONCETTO looks an up-and-coming chaser who gave the impression he wanted further at Ludlow last month.
