This should be within the compass of Brockton Mist. A scopey half-brother to Grand National Winner Papillon, the seven-year-old outstayed his rivals to win at Wetherby in May, and after a summer break Philip Hobbs should have him fit enough to go in first time. Chasing him home is likely to be Prince Nicholas, another seven-year-old, who won at Cartmel in June over three-and-a-quarter miles and will clearly appreciate this sort of trip, and seems to go on any ground. Strong Resolve has been well beaten in better company than this and will appreciate the drop in class. He has yet to convince he gets the trip, though being by Roselier he shouldn't have too many problems and he is a tentative choice for the tricast.
