King Roonah and Meadows Thyne are sure to be popular but it may be worth taking a chance with another Irish trained runner in RAMSDEN BOY. The selection has yet to win over fences and was an early departure when favourite for his latest outing but he had recorded impressive back-to-back victories over hurdles prior to that and may well be worth another chance. He's well handicapped on his form over the smaller obstacles and his young conditional is good value for his claim. Gordon Elliott has a good strike rate here and his runners always command respect and King Roonah is no exception despite still being a maiden under both codes. He wasn't beaten too far over an extended three miles at the track last time and may benefit from being dropped in trip. Meadows Thyne has had one run over fences over an inadequate trip and is a fascinating runner having posted career best efforts over hurdles on his last two starts; it's entirely feasible that he could find further improvement for the switch to chasing but we'll take a chance with Ramsden Boy.
