In depth

Verdict

Bob's Buster may prove to be a bit of value here against the likes of Manoram and Jallastep, with Jefertiti worth a mention as well. Bob's Buster does appear to be hard to win with in the main these days, but he is still very capable of putting in a good effort as he showed when humping 11st 12lb to victory at Southwell in June. That race has worked out well, with both the third Schinken Otto and fourth Il Penseroso successful since, and so although Bob's Buster has not added to his haul of late, his second here last time gives cause for encouragement. Ridden to get the three-mile trip that day, he will be more at home over this shorter journey and is worth a sporting bet. Manoram does not win too often either, and looks worth taking on judged on his one-paced effort at Worcester last time. Jallastep lines up on the back of a win over hurdles gained in selling grade here last time, but at least holds Incas on that form over the smaller obstacles. As stated, the race is there to be won, and Bob's Buster has just as good a chance as the rest.
