Verdict

THE MARKET MAN is our call against Lodge Lane and Pop. Nicky Henderson's charge is in first time cheekpieces and while he does have a flop in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham to overcome, he should have too much class for his rivals today. Lodge Lane has plenty of speed between the fences but his technique has looked shambolic at times. Pop will do well to give penalties to smart rivals. He was out of his depth in the Freddie Williams plate at Cheltenham but has gone well in small fields in the past. Jaunty Flight is a likeable filly. She was fully entitled to win at short odds at Carlisle. Silver By Nature and Marleybow have it to do on recent formbook evidence. The Market Man can get back to winning ways.
