Verdict

Shanen won by 15 lengths at Sedgefield but it's never easy carrying a penalty in races like this. On Broadway and Sharivarry are both winners between the flags while Buffalo Ballet has already been placed at Musselburgh and Ayr but it's probably safe to assume that SEPARATE SHADOWS will have gleaned considerable benefit from his close-up second at Bangor and he can go one better here. Karen McLintock has had a few decent bumper horses down the years so it would be no surprise if the well-connected Mason David Brown proved the pick of the newcomers.
