Verdict

After a couple of near-misses, Cause Of Causes deservedly got off the mark over 2m3f at Kilbeggan earlier this month. There must be a doubt about the four-year-old staying this far, however, unlike MALIN BAY. Despite winning his previous start at Kelso, Nicky Richards' charge was relatively unfancied for a 3m novices' handicap at Ayr last month but forged clear of his rivals up the straight and looks on the upgrade. An Capall Mor didn't beat much at Uttoxeter and is inconsistent while Samstown was among the first beaten at Carlisle last time.
