Verdict

Alizee De Janeiro ran three times over fences in 2016 but failed to complete twice and only beat one home on the third occasion. He has plenty to prove but stablemate Vertigo has been placed between the flags and won a hurdle so has possibilities. Magnolia Ridge is a bit of an enigma and has changed stables while Fit For Fifty will need to do better that at Carlisle last month. Dakota Grey has never won away from the latter track and might need softer ground so we’ll give a final chance to CALVIGNY who, though 0-14 over fences, has gone close a few times and can’t get much lower in the weights.
