Verdict
Nicky Henderson’s runners here have a surprisingly poor record here but it’s hard to oppose CHAMP in this given he only found the unbeaten Vinndication, successful next time in a Listed race, a neck too good at Ascot on his hurdling debut. Those seeking an each-way alternative could probably do worse than siding with Nicky Richards’ Court Dreaming, noted staying on after running green in a Carlisle bumper in March – he is a full brother to a bumper winner who has been placed over timber. The market will likely be the best guide to the others.
