A claimer that on paper looks to be a match between Rossin Gold and Storm Prospect and the vote has to be with Rossin Gold. The ground is a bit of a concern with Peter Monteith's runner, but although he generally races when there is some cut, he has finished second over c&d a couple of years back on good to firm, so hopefully he can handle it. Certainly he has the best and most consistent form on the board of this lot and even though he reverts back to hurdles for the first time in a while he still looks to have been found a good opportunity. Storm Prospect has ability and has scored on fast ground on the flat in the past, so conditions should hold no fears. However, Lucinda Russell's runner is not favoured at the weights here and has a couple of dismal recent runs to overcome, so is opposed. Rosie's Glory looks next best and won a soft ground claimer at Bangor in March but was thrashed at Worcester last time and although she is one who acts on the ground she is certainly inconsistent. Nothing else makes any realistic appeal and we are happy to side with Rossin Gold, who gets the confident vote.
