Tangolan and Chasma are better known as chasers but probably aren’t badly treated. An Fear Ciuin has won plenty of races on the Flat but is now 0-14 over hurdles and probably needs to drop a few more pounds. Celtic Flames prefers the larger obstacles and Ryalex is likely to need this but Green Zone and Cruachan are former course and distance winners. Gordon Elliott runs two and Richard Johnson rides Jaunty Thor but COLD SHOULDER might be a better bet, though he also returns from a lay-off. The four-year-old has never raced on going this quick before but should handle conditions and this may prove his optimum trip this season.
