Whitecrest has won three times here, all off higher marks. John Spearing’s mare is still capable in this grade, despite her advancing years, and demands the utmost respect. Dream For Life hasn’t won anywhere yet but was only beaten a couple of lengths on her handicap debut at Bath while another maiden, Flora Tristan, was beaten under a length at Kempton last month. ARCANISTA only won a seller here last week and carries a penalty but she has a solid record when ridden by the champion, who keeps the partnership intact. Dusty got off the mark over course and distance last week but is also penalised and giving 4lb to the selection less Nicola Currie’s allowance.
