Bob's Buster is due a win and is taken to score over Nephite, with Young Chevalier and Zurs just two more out to stop him. Bob Johnson's gelding has not paid his way since January 2004 when successful at Kelso off a mark of 98, but has continually taken on better company while struggling with his revised rating. At last the handicapper is relenting though and he can now line up on 93 which gives him a great chance of returning to winning ways, especially with the ground in his favour as well. He can make the most of the weight that he receives from Nephite who displayed plenty of stamina when scoring at Towcester last time. Even so, he has to give weight away all round here and is passed over. Young Chevalier has been given a break since falling at Haydock in March, but if his confidence can be restored, James Adams' charge would not be without a chance on his best form. Zurs takes a massive drop in grade after his impossible task against Beef Or Salmon at Leopardstown and he looks the best of the two Irish runners, while Northern Friend is back over fences again and is best of the rest. Bob's Buster is not finished yet though and can pay to follow.
