In depth
Verdict
Supply And Fix is back to put matters right and can do so at the expense of Kilty Storm, Tandava, Relix and Sarin. Supply And Fix did nothing wrong on his last visit apart from being disqualified! His young rider Jackie Kidd took him the wrong side of a dolled off hurdle and paid the penalty, but there is no doubt that he was first past the post on merit. Granted he was receiving lumps of weight from his rivals in that handicap, but the form now looks good as the third home I Got Rhythm has since won on the Flat and finished second over hurdles at Carlisle. Back in novice company now, and with Ken Whelan taking over in the saddle, he can prove best of Jimmy Lambe's two runners. Ex-Irish Kilty Storm failed to settle on his first run for Martin Pipe at Warwick but will have learnt from that initial taste of timber-topping and should progress in time, while Tandava won a maiden hurdle nicely enough at Kelso and is entitled to be in the shake-up here as well. Relix also won last time out at Wetherby and Sarin shaped well enough behind Mr Mischief at the same track last time, so all in all this is a pretty competitive start to proceedings, but we shall stick with Supply And Fix.
