Many of these are open to any amount of improvement including Traitor's Gate and Elliwan, but we are going to take a chance with the Geoff Wragg newcomer Moyenne Corniche. Geoff trained the dam of this Selkirk colt, along with his two sisters and he had plenty of success with them. He would not want the ground too fast but still looks worth a chance. Mark Johnston trains both Elliwan and Traitor's Gate. The latter started as short as 11/4 for his debut but was very green. He will know a lot more about what is required this afternoon and could be a big threat to all. Asian Classic is another debutante to keep on the right side, but there is so much to like about the breeding of Moyenne Corniche and he gets our vote.
