    Verdict

    The latter comment also applies to Matamua and the course and distance second is much respected. Alto Volante hasn’t run up to the form of his Wolverhampton victory in January in subsequent starts but a gelding operation could help turn the tide. Smooth Spirit is best watched having a first run in almost a year but Dickens may be improving and makes more appeal than Muhalhel, who changed hands following a Leicester claimer. ARCADIAN NIGHTS beat a subsequent winner at Wolverhampton in March. Though still to prove as effective on Turf, he’s on the upgrade and still has time on his side.
