In depth

Verdict

PRIVATE SIGNAL will prove a popular choice in the opener having finished clear of the rest when beaten only a neck at Doncaster on his recent debut. The Godolphin colt can open his account in this though Aswan should make a race of it having shown promise at Yarmouth on last month’s introduction. The remainder with experience look modest and the selection’s stablemate Stormy Ocean, a 480,000gns Frankel colt, makes more appeal than Bell Shot and Eight Of Diamonds of the newcomers.
