      Verdict

      Loch Ness Monster did so well to split previous winners on his Pontefract debut and has an obvious claim reverting to maiden company. However, we'll take him on with ROYAL BIG NIGHT. Mark Johnston's colt didn't shape too badly on debut on the Knavesmire and then ran into potentially useful sorts in a novice stakes at Ayr. He gives the impression of having more to offer and is a viable alternative to the favourite at the likely prices. The remainder with form need to improve dramatically to contend and the market should reflect stable expectations surrounding three newcomers, of which Dazzling Dan and Dancing Jaquetta make most appeal.
