Colorado Springs responded to first-time blinkers when winning a Lingfield seller over this trip and can repeat the dose here at the main expense of Ambrose Princess. The selection took a fair grip last time out before staying on well to win, and kept in this grade, she looks to have a similar task here. Backers can only hope that the hoods have much the same effect and with that hope she gets the vote. Ambrose Princess steps up from 7f to this 10f today and it is an interesting manoeuvre from connections. Her pedigree suggests that she should be able to stay, and she may just be the fly in the ointment. Carry On Cleo was a winner over the trip in a Ripon mudbath earlier in the month and still has to prove she handles this going on turf. One Called Alice is tried at the trip again on the back of a decent effort over a mile last time and she is not fully exposed over this far just yet. The same comment applies to Last Angel, who should be watched in the market, but preference here is for Colorado Springs.
