Verdict

Benrish ran promisingly on his debut at Ayr last month when chasing home Ghostwing but the son of Refuse To Bend was beaten six lengths that day and this looks tougher so he needs to improve to get the better of RUNNING MATE, who gets the verdict ahead of Our Dream Queen. The Barry Hills-trained filly has run well in both starts so far in maidens at Newbury and Haydock but she seemed not to get the six furlongs last time and may have to settle for minor honours again. Rae Guest's Hill Of Miller ran well on his Yarmouth debut but failed to run to a similar level of form at Carlisle last time and he now looks best watched with a bigger threat likely to come from Tasmeem. The Barry Hills-trained colt is a speedily bred son of Acclamation and could be of interest on his debut but a safer option looks to be Running Mate. John Gosden's colt ran well on his first two starts before being outclassed in the Norfolk Stakes last time. He should appreciate the return to a maiden and looks worth siding with in this company.
