Music Note went close last time and can go one better, with Newcomers Acrobatic and Call Me George perhaps his biggest dangers. Music Note has appreciated the step up to a mile on his last two starts, and so nearly came good at Yarmouth at the end of last month when just edged out by Dubai Typhoon. He should almost certainly get his head in front sooner rather than later on that evidence, having had runners from the Godolphin, Sir Michael Stoute and Michael Bell stables all behind that day. With experience to count on, he will surely prove hard to beat and can pay to support. Acrobatic is interesting as he has reportedly been working well, while Call Me George holds a Vodafone Derby entry and is worth noting. Sir Michael Stoute is double-handed with Naughty By Nature, a beaten favourite on his Sandown debut, and Orange Stravinsky who was down the field at the Esher track on his debut a day earlier. The latter would be preferred with Jamie Spencer booked to ride, but a place at best beckons as Music Note is the one to be on.
