Scorn sets the standard in this but is proving very hard even for John Gosden to elicit a win from and we will oppose today with COOKIE CRUMBLES, while Ertiyaad and Chelsea Morning are others with claims. The selection belied her odds of 33/1 on debut when staying on strongly to claim second in a reasonable Doncaster maiden in April. Trainer Chris Wall has given her plenty of time to come on for that, and she won't be starting at such long odds today. Even so, she has an unexposed profile and shouldn't mind a bit of juice in the ground, and we'll chance her to beat likely favourite Scorn. The daughter of Seeking The Gold appeared to handle soft ground on her debut last October, though she has been kept to a sound surface ever since. She stays at least 10f, but she finds very little when called upon for an effort and is clearly vulnerable. Ertiyaad showed improvement for her first run when reappearing at Doncaster over this trip and we can assume, given connections, that there will be more to come. She should be heavily involved. Chelsea Morning has run nicely enough over a mile, and this step up in trip looks a positive, so expect a bold showing, though Cookie Crumbles is the pick. Jonathan Doidge.
