Racing off the same mark as when landing an apprentice contest last time MEJD has to get the call in this handicap although Rainbow Mirage was close-up third off this mark last time so should make the frame and Christmas Carnival is also high on the list after a run in a warm Haydock maiden last time. Following a win off a mark of 79 at Beverley the pick improved on that to score off this mark last time. He'll actually be under a light racing weight with his good claiming jockey removing five pounds so looks to have a solid chance of landing the hat-trick. Course and distance winner Rainbow Mirage has dropped down the weights in recent starts but seemed to find his level last time when he wasn't beaten that far in third last time off this rating so he should go well again. Christmas Carnival makes a handicap debut off what looks a fair enough mark after showing ability in four starts. Sir George was solid under this burden last time out but might be too high in the weights to win so racing off his winning rating of last time Mejd looks the stand-out
