This is a hard race to evaluate with very few of the participants able to realise much promise in maidens so with Eve Johnson-Houghton's team among the winners at present, an interest in SILKEN WATERS is advised. The daughter of Halling has been turned over by significant margins in her three outings to date but her pedigree suggests that she can make an impact over this trip and an opening mark of 55 does not appear harsh. Born To Reign is out of a dam that won over a mile and Michael Bell's gelding is another that could improve for a switch to handicapping. Mad Endeavour failed to build upon the promise of a placed effort at Chepstow when next seen at Doncaster. Modify has had more chances than most and David O'Meara continues to try the filly over middle-distances. Network Perfection takes a massive step up in trip and Mick Easterby's gelding is respected despite a significant absence from the track.
