It may be worth chancing a small investment with Rosthwaite in a tricky nursery. Wovoka, Power Assisted and Charles Darwin are others to place on the shortlist. Charles Darwin has already proved to be versatile regarding his preferred ground and shapes as if he can continue to pay his way. However, he was a touch disappointing at Haydock last time and now has a little to prove. Power Assisted hails from a yard in good form and makes her handicap debut off a fair mark. The daughter of Observatory already has experience of this course and should make a bold bid. She looks a solid each-way option. As does Wovoka, who is proving to be a consistent performer. However, he is now a little high in the weights and there may be something further down the racecard that could have his measure. And on this occasion we go with Rosthwaite, who is well worth another crack at this trip. The faster surface will help her this afternoon and it will be no surprise to see her boost her paddocks value in this company.
