Verdict

Perfectperformance wouldn't need to be foot-perfect to win on his reappearance and he gets the vote ahead of Nakheel. None of the four have proven themselves to be at home on this sort of ground but Perfectperformance has the class to carry himself through. An expensive purchase, the five-year-old is lightly raced but did win on his reappearance run last year and he looks to have been found a weak race here. Tucker has run well below par on soft ground every time he has encountered it since his second start, however Walter Swinburn's runner may be able to perform better today. The suspicion is though that a mile suits best, so Nakheel could prove the biggest threat. The stable are in good form but this horse is yet to prove himself on ground this soft and has also been out of form on his last two starts. Hurdler Air Guitar is out of his depth on his first flat start, so with the dangers looking very thin on the ground, Perfectperformance gets the nomination.
