The jump jockeys make a rare appearance here and bragging rights can go to Timmy Murphy who rides Secret Ploy for Hughie Morrison. Just Waz, Raffish and Wicked Daze make it to the shortlist. The selection has shown an aptitude for soft ground over the obstacles but all ground seems to come alike to him. Timmy Murphy has ridden him to three of his four jumps successes so knows the horse well and he should be competitive off this mark of 75. Wicked Daze is unexposed so warrants respect from his shrewd stable; if he handles the ground then he shouldn't be far away as he shapes as if he wants a test. Just Waz is holding his form well and is very much at home in the mud, as are Ronsard and Raffish who both stay well. Winged D'Argent takes a drop in class but his losing streak is pretty lengthy now. At a price Mighty Moon could go well as he likes soft ground, however we will return to Secret Ploy as the nomination.
