Verdict

Robert The Painter had been running in Dubai prior to finishing third in the Lincoln but races off the same mark here and can't be ignored. Roserrow will take some pegging back if allowed an easy lead while Croquembouche and Malicho both enjoyed success last season, though the latter is having his first start for a new yard here. LORD AERYN hasn't won for a while but ran a cracker for fifth in the Irish Lincoln on his reappearance and is weighted to reverse Ripon running last year with Robert The Painter - his day may have come around again. Multi Bene is preferred to Woody Bay of the others.
