      Verdict

      Blue Talisman came good over this trip at Redcar last week but will have to improve again to defy a penalty. Jarlath was winning for the third time in four starts over 1m4f at Leicester last month but only had a length-and-a-half to spare over THE KID. We'll side with the runner-up today as he is 3lb better off and will also be helped by Jenny Powell's claim. Lucky Jim and Tactical Strike have hinted at ability but Stout Cortez appears to have gone backwards since his second in a maiden here in November.
