In depth

Verdict

AMBLING, a half-sister to five winners, was very green at Newmarket where she hung throughout before picking up in the closing stages. She'll know much more here as will Vivid Diamond, who was only half-a-length behind and also looked in need of the experience. Padmavati caught the eye when staying on over 7f at Lingfield while there are some well-connected newcomers engaged. Birdcage Walk is out of a mare who produced the Group 2 winner Best Of Days with her first foal while Tasman Sea is related to four winners and her yard continues in top form.
