Despite the presence of some well-respected stables, this looks a much weaker maiden and the vote is given to Stalking Tiger ahead of Tazeez and other newcomers Ballad Maker and Northern Spy. The three-year-old's in the lineup appear to be the ones to concentrate on and Stalking Tiger is our selection now dropped in trip. He was held up on debut to get the trip and after some pleasing headway in the middle of the race, he didn't seem to get home. With that run under his belt he should strip fitter and therefore gets the nod. Northern Spy should be watched for market support representing the 'Boys In Blue', whilst Tazeez is a 200,000 euros son of Silver Hawk and represents a stable capable of readying a newcomer. Expect Beautiful Dancer, Eco Centrism and Drawn Gold to all step up on their debut efforts although the last-two may not be quite match-fit. Timber Treasure is consistent but is proving hard to win with, so whilst Ballad Maker, a 310,000 euros son of Marju looks a very plausible candidate first time up, it is Stalking Tiger who is fancied to score.
