    Verdict

A chance is taken with Stepping Up, who is preferred to Shumookh and Babodana. The last named has been a grand servant to his connections and still has the ability to figure strongly in races of this nature. He will love the ground and cannot confidently be ruled out. Neither can Shumookh, who is still learning his trade and looks worthy of a crack at this type of race. Give underfoot is not really a problem for the son of Mujahid and he can ensure the rest know they have been in a race. With Interest - a stablemate of the selection - is also worth noting in the betting. Ryan Moore's mount won his sole start as a juvenile in good style and is open to any amount of improvement. This will be educational for him and he is one to bear in mind for the future. However, Stepping Up makes the most appeal for the present time and this son of Soviet Star is expected to be a lot sharper now that he has the benefit of a seasonal run behind him.
