Dan Ryan won well enough when taking a novices' chase over course and distance last week but a 7lb penalty for that race makes this more difficult for David Pipe's gelding and it may be worth taking a chance with LADY ROANIA, who gets the vote over Keoghs Tradbar. Paul Flynn's gelding responded well to pressure when taking a contest at Uttoxeter at the beginning of the month, staying on well to beat Changing Lanes by a length-and-a-quarter, and he has to be respected off just a 4lb higher mark today. David Gandolfo's Glengarra has shown improved form of late and he has claims but he may now be a shade high in the weights. Charlie Morlock's Nawow won well at Towcester last month but a 6lb rise since then may prevent him from following up, while Prophete de Guye has been running consistently well but looks booked for a place at best. Beehawk ran better at Fontwell earlier this month and he has to be respected off a fair mark but preference is for Lady Roania. Peter Bowen's mare has dropped to a winning a mark and she looks worth chancing off the same mark as when running better at Sedgefield last week, especially with the stable's runners coming into form.
