Verdict

Darling Maltaix won a junior bumper over 1m4f at Vichy in May and has since joined Paul Nicholls. He should win races and makes more appeal than Country'n'western, who made a winning debut at Carlisle last November but was well beaten in subsequent starts. Court Out made a profit when sold for 29,000 euros last year and is an interesting newcomer but POINT OF PRINCIPLE sets a decent standard. Tim Vaughan’s gelding won at Warwick in January and was then just beaten under a penalty at Carlisle. He ran a cracker in a Grade 2 at Aintree on his final start last season and looks a nice prospect for hurdling.
