Verdict

Gingili took an age to get going at Fontwell last time and only hit the front halfway up the run-in. He still has a bit to learn about jumping fences and faces no easy task here off top weight. Neither What Happens Now, in good form over hurdles before finishing second over fences at Bangor, nor recent Stratford winner Strumble Head takes any prisoners and will ensure a strong gallop. Calin Du Brizais was well behind Strumble Head over course and distance in July but is 12lb better off today. AZURE FLY (NAP) had placed form in better company in staying races last season and reappears on a potentially-lenient mark. He could be around to pick up the pieces if the others go off too quickly.
