        Verdict

        AMOUR DE NUIT won here and at Taunton in the spring. He hasn’t raced since May but fitness is rarely a problem for one from his yard and he may have too much class for lashing Glance, who won easily at Stratford earlier this month but probably had little to beat and the run of the race. The others with experience have shown little so far and newcomer Rocket Ronnie will have his stamina to prove as he didn’t stay much beyond a mile on the Flat.
