In depth

Verdict

There are some thorough stayers in this including Ernesto, Ratfacemcdougall and Lelantos. The latter has been in the best form of that trio. Fortunate Fred is still a maiden but is often placed and Jack The Farmer finally won at Worcester last month but couldn’t handle an 8lb rise here next time. Rubys Reward has been going well recently at Worcester but is worse off at the weights than when beaten by SAXON QUEEN over course and distance in June with Peter Bowen’s mare just coming up short carrying overweight at Stratford later.
