A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Algenon, Yellow Flag and The Wexford Man and the narrow nomination is given to Algenon. The selection was a fair fifth behind Mister Magnum last time out but prior to that he had won in good styl. He remains open to plenty of improvement over fences and off what remains a fair mark he looks a value bet. Yellow Flag rates the main danger as he enters handicaps off what looks a lenient mark. His yard are in form and he should be watched in the market. However he stopped very quickly last time out so this tempers enthusiasm. The Wexford Man had every chance until falling last time out. If he puts in a clear round of fencing he will not be far away, but that is a big if. Lord Nellsson looks vulnerable under top weight while Quizzling has won off a higher mark in the past and is another to note in the market, but Algenon is unexposed and gets the vote.
