Saby lines up in form and can get the better of Deep King and Papua, with Nemisto and Dead-Eyed Dick best of the remainder. Saby's two career wins this summer have both come at the west-country track, most recently when scoring to the tune of 14 lengths. Richard Johnson used waiting tactics on this occasion and the move paid off in style, so it is hoped that even with an 11lb penalty, he will have the required improvement to follow up. Even with his rise, the six-year-old gets 10lb off Deep King who appears to be the main danger judged on his latest two victories. He actually beat the selection by 20 lengths over the course and distance in June but has been off since then and is not as well off now. As the latter has improved in the interim, he will be fancied by connections to reverse the form. Papua visits the track for the first time but is well treated compared to his hurdles form and is the one to give the principals most to do. The rest do not look anything special and Saby can improve enough to score.
