In depth

Verdict

This looks a match between Croix de Guerre and Sardagna with the confident vote going to Croix de Guerre. The selection has won his last two races in good style and although he is rising in the weights he won with a little in hand when beating One Cornetto last time out. That form has since been franked and under similar conditions here he is taken to win again. Sardagna rates the main danger as he also won well last time out but this looks more competitive and he will need to improve in the jumping department if he is to win this. Dawton also won well last time out when beating Whispered Secret but he lacks the experience of the principals and for that reason is opposed.Scalloway has had plenty of chances without taking one and is readily opposed and for the winner we return to Croix de Guerre.
